Botanical Drawing

This six week course will introduce you to the basics of botanical drawing. You will learn how to create accurate, life-like drawings of flowers and leaves using line and tone. You are welcome to bring a sketchbook and pencils that you may already use but paper, pencils and plants will be provided. This class is suitable for beginners and those with some drawing skills.

Patchwork for Beginners

Bobbin Lacemaking

Tue 7 January - Tue 31 March 7pm - 9pm.

Duration 12 weeks

Venue: MOSSLEY MILL

Bobbin lacemaking can be traced back around 500 years. It is one of the oldest methods of making lace. The thread is wound onto bobbins and woven together and pins put into hold it in place. In this course students are given one on one tuition and systemically taken through various techniques building up a wide knowledge of the various types of lace. Students with prior knowledge are encouraged to extend their skills in trying out a range of laces both British and continental. A Kit may be purchased from the tutor for beginners.

Beadwork

Students will be shown how to use seed beads to weave into jewellery using a wide variety of styles. Beads can be purchased from the tutor, suitable for both beginners and experienced.

The Baby Shark Show

Clay Day

In this fun workshop children will be invited to use clay to make a variety of artworks from their own imagination. They will be taught to roll, pinch and attach clay creating fun and exciting pieces! these can be taken home to allow to dray and can then be painted.
