VICTORY DAY 2915
It's June 1945 and the people here are not only smiling for the camera because WWII ended in May 1945.
Now you might be thinking why is this Waveney Avenue in Ballymena street party so late. Well the war might have ended but food rationing had not.
In fact it continued into the fifties so they had to save there food stamps to buy the flour ect to make the grub.
Now only three persons are known in the photograph and they are seated on the chairs, Betty Steele is 2nd from the left, then 6th and 7th are her cousins Ron Mullan and Flo Smith.
